JOB SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete basic engineering tasks related to product design, analysis, testing, integration and systems engineering
  • Under the supervision of an experienced engineer, perform analysis on existing products; assist in the design and development of future products: perform analysis on both completed and future launches; and conduct quality assurance on system safety, launch and production operations.
  • Engage in projects and/or studies that promote continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Showcase learnings obtained during the part time student position by presenting outcomes of key projects to members of the Engineering leadership team and/or members of Blue Birds’ Executive Leadership Team.

BASIC EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Graduate level student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 18 years of age prior to the start of the part time position
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Part-time, 20 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate academic commitments
  • Availability during business hours, with occasional evening or weekend work as needed
