Manufacturing Engineer - Relocation Offered!
We are seeking a proactive Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and drive continuous improvement in production processes. The role focuses on optimizing manufacturing systems, improving quality and throughput, and implementing lean and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce cost and waste. This position offers relocation assistance for the right candidate and provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic industrial environment with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and optimize manufacturing processes for automotive production to meet quality, cost and delivery targets.
- Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues using Six Sigma tools (DMAIC, FMEA).
- Plan and implement Lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, SMED, Kaizen, value stream mapping) to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with product design, quality, supply chain and maintenance teams to ensure manufacturability and smooth product launch.
- Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Perform time studies, capacity analysis and production layout improvements to enhance throughput and resource utilization.
- Support installation, commissioning and validation of new manufacturing equipment and automation solutions.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports to track improvements and communicate results to stakeholders.
- Provide training and technical guidance to production staff on process changes, quality standards and safety practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in heavy industrial sector.
- Practical experience with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies;
Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus. - Hands-on experience with process improvement tools (FMEA, SPC, root-cause analysis) and familiarity with automation and PLC-based equipment.
- Strong problem-solving, project management and data analysis skills; proficiency with Microsoft Excel and statistical software.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with experience working in cross-functional environments.
- Willingness to relocate relocation assistance offered for selected candidate.
