The Director of Nursing is a full-time, on-site leadership role located in Fort Valley, GA, responsible for overseeing the nursing academic programs and ensuring high-quality instruction and student outcomes. This role includes managing faculty and staff within the nursing department, coordinating curriculum development and review, and ensuring compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards. The Director will lead strategic planning for the nursing program, oversee clinical placements and partnerships, and monitor program performance metrics such as graduation and licensure examination pass rates.

Day-to-day responsibilities involve supervising teaching schedules, supporting faculty development, managing budgets and resources, and collaborating with university leadership and external stakeholders to advance nursing education. The Director also engages in student advising, fosters a supportive learning environment, and promotes continuous improvement in teaching, assessment, and academic support services.

• Demonstrated leadership and management skills in nursing education, including experience supervising faculty and overseeing academic programs.
• Strong curriculum development, program assessment, and accreditation management skills, with familiarity in regulatory and licensing requirements for nursing programs.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, and clinical partners.
• Proficiency in planning, organizing, and problem-solving, including budget management, resource allocation, and strategic decision-making.
• Commitment to student success, inclusive teaching practices, and fostering a diverse and equitable learning environment.
• Master’s degree in Nursing required;
  Doctoral degree in Nursing or a related field preferred.
• Unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license, eligible for licensure in the state of Georgia.
• Significant teaching experience in higher education and clinical practice experience in nursing.
