A transit van driver is responsible for transporting passengers safely and efficiently, following a set route or schedule and ensuring passengers are secured before continuing the route.

• Provide safe and efficient transportation for passengers.
• Operate the van on scheduled times, following a pre-determined route.
• Pick up passengers on dispatched request for transportation.
• Conduct a pre-trip and post-trip inspection of the vehicle each day.
• Check for vehicle damages, monitor oil change requirements, etc.
• Report any issues with the vehicle to the supervisor.
• Complete maintenance requests.
• Fuel van at the end of each shift and throughout the day as necessary.
• Clean the inside of the van at the end of each daily operation.
• Behave in a courteous and respectful manner.
• Treat others with respect.
• Maintain all necessary records.
• Follow all established safety policies and procedures.
• Follow all DOT guidelines and rules of the road.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Adherence to traffic laws and regulations.
• Ability to work independently, responsible, and reliable.
• Professional and well-groomed appearance.
• Must wear closed-toed shoes.
• Ability to complete required training and certifications after employment.
• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, push, and/or pull.
• Must follow all roadway rules.
• Basic computer knowledge is preferred.
• Ability to safely and correctly operate equipment.
• Pass a drug test prior to employment.
