- Apply basic engineering principles to perform routine design, fabrication, modification and/or evaluation in support of manufacturing operations.
- Prepare plans, conduct support studies, provide analysis or tests in the development of manufacturing operations.
- Responsibilities are limited in scope.
- Follow standard practices/procedures in analyzing situations or data.
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization.
- Involved with the design and development of manufacturing test systems for performance testing of products for product acceptance. Perform basic software development and debugging of test systems in multiple software tools. Review detail designs to create test protocols. Assist technicians in the build of the test hardware.
- Bachelor’s degree in an applicable engineering field and 0+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.
- Specialties may include manufacturing, production, industrial, welding, tooling, testing, processing, software, and robotics.
- Strong interest in digital automation, scripting, and software-driven process improvement within a manufacturing or test environment.
- Working knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C#, LabVIEW, MATLAB, or similar tools used in test automation.
- Familiarity with virtual machines (VMware, Hyper‑V, or similar) and basic IT/networking concepts.
- Exposure to legacy system migration, OS upgrades, or software modernization efforts.
- Foundational understanding of AI/ML concepts and interest in applying data‑driven approaches to improve manufacturing performance.
- Experience working with data acquisition systems, databases, or structured data analysis.
- Basic understanding of hardware test systems, instrumentation, or electronic troubleshooting.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, system block diagrams, and software flow diagrams; strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to debug both software and hardware issues in integrated systems.
- Comfortable working in environments with aging equipment and driving modernization efforts.
- Demonstrated ability to document processes, create standard work, and maintain configuration control.
- Curious, self‑driven learner with a passion for automation and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, IT, and operations teams.
