Key Responsibilities
- Provide analog and digital design for power conversion products.
- Analyze and design high‑reliability, high‑power AC‑DC and DC‑DC converters for radar, directed energy, and military electric‑vehicle applications.
- Initiate innovative circuit designs, complete documentation, and conduct analysis and characterization.
- Perform design and development of power converters using modern topologies to achieve high performance at reasonable cost.
- Engage in research, development, and design of new or sustaining products.
- Own responsibility for thorough and accurate designs that meet customer specifications and company requirements for schedule, cost, producibility, quality, and reliability.
- Design, fabricate, modify, and evaluate electronic apparatus, components, or circuits for use within aerospace and electronics equipment.
- Conduct technical analysis, including trade studies, product design, system/component integration, mathematical modeling, and reliability analysis.
- Perform functional, acceptance, qualification, and development testing on new or modified designs.
- Analyze circuits to verify compliance with specific performance targets using computer‑aided modeling and schematic generation.
- Prepare and review technical reports, design documents, test plans, and other documentation to satisfy customer, internal, and program requirements.
- Support the bid and proposal process through technical assistance, preliminary designs, and research.
- Establish and maintain proactive communication channels with customers, suppliers, and internal organizations to meet project goals.
- Provide diagnostic support to manufacturing on new and existing products.
- 5+ years of industry experience in electronics power‑conversion product design and manufacturing.
- Relevant research and product development experience supporting an advanced doctoral degree or post‑doctoral research (optional).
- Demonstrated DC‑DC or AC‑DC converter design experience, or inverter design experience.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- BSEE or related technical bachelor’s degree.
- Access to controlled data or information; only U.S. persons will be considered (ITAR compliance).
- Experience with manufacturing standards and practices.
- Leadership experience for engineering design staff.
- Advanced degree (MSEE or Ph.D.) in power electronics with relevant published research.
- Demonstrated multi‑tasking and prioritization skills.
- Experience designing products for harsh environments such as military applications.
This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only U.S. persons will be considered as a U.S. Department of Defense contractor. The role is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
