Budget Analyst (Project Management Analyst
3) – Mary Esther, Florida. The Budget Analyst provides financial oversight and ensures the efficient execution of task orders and delivery order projects. The role requires analytical and organizational skills to plan and coordinate project activities, with a focus on delivering clear financial documentation and maintaining high‑quality product delivery on schedule.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the financial aspects of specific task orders, ensuring timely execution and adherence to contractual agreements.
- Organize and coordinate project planning to meet performance goals.
- Maintain financial tracking systems, ensuring cost controls align with program objectives.
- Oversee the end‑to‑end development and execution of spend plans, partnering with subcontractors to forecast budget requirements and build detailed financial projections.
- Analyze and evaluate budget allocations, expenditures, and financial forecasts to optimize project performance.
- Provide guidance on financial risk management and mitigation strategies to improve cost efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Prepare and present cost analyses, reports, and recommendations to management.
- Ensure successful implementation of cost control measures.
- Foster collaboration to support financial planning and execution strategies.
- Report to supervisor, providing financial insights for program leadership.
- 6 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 4 years relevant experience with a Master’s degree in a related field; or high school diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
- Familiarity with financial concepts, practices, and cost‑control procedures within a technical program environment.
- Ability to plan, execute, and monitor the financial aspects of multiple projects.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting principles, forecasting, and financial risk mitigation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear financial reports and recommendations.
- Active DoD Secret level clearance.
- Minimal mobility, dexterity, or coordination required to operate common business machines. Maximum lifting required is approximately 40 pounds from floor to three feet in height.
