Job Description

Senior Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to support Special Projects at Mary Esther, FL. Candidate must have a TS/SCI clearance. Experience working with legacy IT, Cloud-based IaaS, SaaS, and Platform Integrated Technology (PIT) is desired. The role involves conducting information system security engineering activities that capture and refine security requirements and ensure their effective integration into information systems.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical input, recommendations, and assistance with the implementation of cyber security approaches that maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and guidance.
  • Advise the ISO concerning confidentiality, integrity, and availability impact levels for information systems.
  • Evaluate threats and vulnerabilities to information systems to determine the need for additional safeguards.
  • Review and approve information system security assessment plans, including the SSP, SCTM, and assessment procedures.
  • Ensure security assessments are completed for information systems.
  • Develop and sustain Risk Management Framework packages in EMASS, Xacta, or other mandated tools, and prepare final Security Assessment Reports (SAR) summarizing results and findings.
  • Initiate POA&M with identified weaknesses and suspense dates based on SAR findings.
  • Evaluate assessment documentation and provide written recommendations for security authorization.
  • Develop authorization recommendations and submit the security authorization package.
  • Assess proposed changes to information systems, their operational environment, and mission needs that could affect system authorization.
  • Provide purposeful security architecture, design, development, and configuration of information systems.
  • Provide inputs to development teams responsible for designing and upgrading organizational and legacy systems.
  • Apply best practices when implementing security requirements, including software engineering methodologies, system/security engineering principles, secure design, secure architecture, and secure coding techniques.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's in a related field or 3 years with a Master's, or 0 years with a PhD/Juris Doctor, or 9 years with a High School Diploma.
  • High School Diploma and 8 years of experience or B.A. in Cyber Security with 5 years of relevant cyber security experience.
  • CISSP certification is highly desired.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant DoD cyber security work experience.
  • Must possess an active secret security clearance, current within five years, based upon a single scope background investigation (SSBI) or SSBI periodic review.
  • Ability to acquire a TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred Requirements
  • Extensive familiarity with DoD, USAF, and USSOCOM RMF processes.
  • Experience supporting the Joint Operations Support Cloud Environment, Warfighter Worldwide Network (WWN), and Joint Personal Edge Compute Device (JPECD) is highly preferred.
  • Keep abreast of current and new security technologies and threats.
  • Research and review proposed new systems, networks, and software designs for potential security risks and impacts; recommend mitigation, countermeasures, or other options.
  • Identify integration issues related to new system implementation within the existing infrastructure; recommend mitigation and/or resolution options.
