Procurement Specialist

• Proficiency in MS applications; must specifically have experience using Excel at an intermediate level
  .
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience working in a corporate/commercial environment.
• Technically proficient in reading and comprehending engineering drawings; ability to analyze BOM
  .
• Ability to analyze technical data, designs, preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and parts/equipment availability.
• Works closely with suppliers to identify and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing
• Ability to identify cost reduction opportunities.
• Proficiency with personal computers and networking.
• Experience with in the Aviation field is highly desirable.

• Functions as a purchaser and works closely with the assigned engineering and logistics liaison.
• Responsibility for monitoring and reporting on delivery schedules of suppliers.
• Meet deadlines and deliverables, work multiple projects simultaneously and rapidly communicate recommendations, and develop courses of action
• Works with vendors to receive quotes and presents to leadership for decision
• Assist in resolution of supplier issues.
• In some cases, managing inventory levels and ensuring adequate stock of essential items.
• May support the inventory control and receiving team, as needed, using automated processes focused on improving supply chain management and providing inventory tracking and audit trails.
• May support requirements for kitting.
