Material Handler
general job summary
responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining an accurate inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment. This position ensures materials are properly identified, stored, and readily available to support production, engineering, and other departments.
essential job functions- fulfill internal material requests accurately and in a timely manner
- maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts as scheduled
- receive, inspect, and route incoming materials to designated stockroom areas
- maintain material storage areas in accordance with esd

, and safety standards - pick and issue materials, hardware, tooling and components to internal customers based on work orders or requests
- assemble and prepare kits for production or projects, ensuring all components are included and properly labeled
- replenish stock items (kanban) as needed to support ongoing operations
- assist with packaging, labeling, and routing materials to appropriate departments or workstations
- perform daily warehouse housekeeping, stock verification, and inventory maintenance using the company erp system and scanners
- identify, report, and assist in resolving inventory discrepancies, damaged items, or shortages
- examine and inspect stock items for wear, defects, or discrepancies and report issues promptly
- must be at assigned worksite during assigned hours 100% of time; less pto, fml/std/ltd
- assist internal customers by providing guidance on stocked materials and procurement options
- participate in process improvement initiatives within the materials department
- support shipping and receiving activities assigned

- basic computer proficiency, including microsoft word and excel
- hs diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in stockroom, warehouse, or materials handling preferred (training available)
- experience using erp systems for inventory or materials management is preferred
- production environment
- ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
- ability to perform repetitive motion
- ability to lift iup to 50 pounds
- ability to perform physical actions such as moving, reaching, grabbing, packing, lifting, pulling, climbing, and pushing
