Manufacturing Engineer – Electronics

The Manufacturing Engineer performs independent assignments to develop and recommend improvements in the manufacturing system and in product manufacturability and cost effectiveness.

• Study, analyze, and design manufacturing methods, procedures, processes, layouts, flow, fixtures, and tooling as needed to support production.
• Investigate, recommend, and implement manufacturing cost reduction and product improvement programs.
• Identify root cause and corrective actions for manufacturing problems.
• Participate in customer specification and statement of work reviews.
• Review and evaluate new product designs or design changes.
• Analyze design change requests initiated by manufacturing personnel for feasibility, validity, savings, and impact on design.
• Evaluate, test, and select facilities, equipment, and materials required for production in conjunction with Production Supervisors, Purchasing, and other groups.
• Perform cost analyses, such as cost estimates for quotations or "make or buy" decisions.
• Develop manufacturing operating instructions.
• Develop and track manufacturing metrics to monitor process health.
• Evaluate non-conformances as part of the Material Review Board.
• Direct and support production operators to aid in problem solving.
• Develop procedures and train assemblers and operators in machine operations, processes, or assembly applications.
• Coordinate with vendors and customers.
• Prioritize work with limited input from management.
• Develop ROI or business case and present to management to support capital equipment, new product or process development, and productivity improvements.
• Execute any other tasks assigned by supervisor or management.

• 5+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer.
• Knowledge of modern production principles and methods applied to high‑technology electronics manufacturing.
• Basic knowledge of material characteristics and processing, chemicals, electrical systems, mechanical systems, fluids, and heat transfer.
• Familiarity with AS9100 and AS9145.
• Effective communication skills with employees at all levels.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.

• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.

This role requires access to U.S. export‑controlled information. Final offers will be contingent upon obtaining authorization for access from the U.S. Government and compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants may be subject to a government security investigation.
