This position is located in Fort Walton Beach, FL
.
With supervision, performs basic and routine electronic and mechanical assembly operations on components, printed circuit boards, and subassemblies in accordance with established standards using visual aids and verbal and/or written instructions.
Key Responsibilities- Position and align parts in specified relationship to each other and use hand or power tools to secure parts.
- Mount assembled components on panels or circuit boards.
- Route wiring and cabling through assemblies to terminals according to color codes; solder or wrap wire around terminals to provide electrical connection.
- Perform intermediate assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, cleaning, coating, epoxy bonding, wiring, stamping, and color coding parts and assemblies.
- Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine material requirements and assembly instructions.
- Maintain reliable attendance and remain at the assigned worksite during assigned hours.
- Clean parts using cleaning solutions and/or air hoses.
- Mark and tag components to support accurate stock identification and inventory tracking.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and component identifications.
- Ability to work with minute parts; strong finger dexterity and fine motor skills (forming/bending wires to specification).
- Ability to use stripping tools, wire cutters, soldering equipment, degreasers, and other tools of the trade.
- Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors and adhere to workplace rules.
- Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards.
- Successful completion of IPC Solder Training and Certification within the initial 3 weeks of employment, with a 5% or less defect rate on the solder certification board.
- Physical/Work Environment: production environment; ability to stand and sit for long periods; ability to perform repetitive motion; ability to lift up to 30 pounds; 20/20 vision and color vision (with or without corrective lenses).
Pay Rate: $16/hr+ DOE
Schedule: 7AM-5PM, 9/80 schedule
