Medical-Surgical Neuro Registered Nurse; RN

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Med-Surg Neuro RN to join a 30-bed acute care neuro-focused unit in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

This unit manages patients with neurological conditions including stroke, seizure disorders, and other neuro-medical diagnoses requiring close monitoring and coordinated interdisciplinary care. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong assessment skills, adaptability, and the ability to function effectively within a collaborative team environment.

30-bed Medical-Surgical Neuro Unit

Leadership present and engaged

Structured interview process including phone screen and panel interview

Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Shift: Days Only | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Base Pay Range:

$27.72/hour (entry range)

Up to $34.32/hour (10 years experience)

Up to $39.60/hour (15+ years experience)

Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 (Days)

Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis

• Perform comprehensive neurological and medical assessments.
• Monitor for changes in neurological status and escalate appropriately.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Provide stroke-focused care and adhere to evidence-based protocols.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, and recovery plans.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.

Required

• Active Florida RN license or multistate license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
• Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience.
• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing.
• BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider) prior to start.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification within 30 days of hire.
