Personnel​/Information​/Physical Security Advisor AFSOC Security Clearance

Position Overview

Personnel/Information/Physical Security Advisor to support Headquarters (HQ) AFSOC A2.

Hurlburt Field, FL

Permanent/Full‑Time

TS/SCI clearance required.

Anticipated start date July 16, 2026, contingent upon award.

• Program and Policy Management – advise on the SCI security program, implement and maintain policies from the Director of National Intelligence (DNI), DoD, and USAF; develop, evaluate, and monitor procedures to protect SCI material.
• SCIF and Facilities Lifecycle – manage all SCI facility and temporary secure working area (TSWA) validation proceedings; generate concept validation, pre‑construction, and accreditation packages; prepare SCIF construction specifications and security alarm/reaction plans based on IC Directive 705 and DoDM 5105.21.
• Security Operations – investigate SCI security infractions and prepare reports on findings; devise risk‑based, cost‑effective physical security plans that minimize operational interference; coordinate the selection and installation of intrusion detection systems and other security hardware.

• Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant security field or related discipline.
• Experience:
  • 5 years hands‑on personnel and information security experience over the last 12 years.
  • 5 years supporting Air Force and Special Operations Personnel and Information Security programs.
• Skills:
  • Excellent problem‑solving and customer service abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and office automation software, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, One Drive, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Highly desired: previous relevant experience in the Special Operations Forces (SOF) community.
