Job Description & How to Apply Below
At Encore Fire Protection, we are proud to be the east coast's largest full-service fire protection company, serving over 90,000 customers from Maine to Louisiana. With a team of over 2,200 dedicated employees, we provide innovative, customized fire suppression, fire sprinkler, and fire alarm solutions that protect lives and properties every day.
Our goal is to deliver superior experience to those who trust us to safeguard what matters most. We are passionate about continuous growth, innovation, and maintaining a culture that thrives on success and commitment to safety. Our mission? To be the best fire protection company the industry has ever seen.
The Opportunity
As a Warehouse Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our fire protection operations behind the scenes. Your work will help keep equipment in good working order, inventory organized, and field teams supplied with what they need to do their jobs safely and efficiently. This is a great role for someone who likes hands-on work, staying active during the day, and keeping things organized.
You will learn how our equipment works, how material flows from the warehouse to the field, and how your efforts directly support the safety of our customers. For the right person, this position can be a launching point into field technician, inspection, or operations roles over time.
Key Responsibilities
Your day will move between equipment, shelves, and staging areas. One moment you are refilling extinguishers or checking gear, the next you are unloading a delivery or pulling material for tomorrow's jobs. On a typical day, you will:
* Help with simple tests and checks on fire protection equipment.
* Keep an eye out for anything that looks damaged, worn out, or not working right and let your lead or supervisor know.
* Use basic computer tools, like Excel or Google Sheets, to update inventory counts and simple logs.
* Pull, pack, and label material for jobs, so crews have what they need before they leave the shop.
* Unload trucks, check deliveries against the paperwork, and put material away in the right place.
* Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized, including sweeping, throwing out trash, and straightening shelves and racks.
* Help drivers load and unload vehicles and assist with deliveries when needed.
* Jump in on other warehouse tasks as needed to support the team and keep work moving.
What You Bring to the Table
* Self-motivation with a strong desire to learn and succeed
* Basic working knowledge of safety regulations and procedures, or a willingness to learn and follow them closely
* Ability to quickly learn new processes and adapt to change
* A positive, "can do" attitude and commitment to teamwork
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
* Ability to lift and move materials safely, typically up to 50 pounds or more.
What Makes You Stand Out
* You have a valid driver's license, which is preferred but not required.
* You have prior experience in a warehouse, trades, logistics, or service environment.
* You have basic mechanical aptitude or hands-on experience with tools and small equipment.
* You are familiar with spreadsheets, inventory tools, or simple tracking systems.
Beyond the Paycheck
At Encore, we're all about creating a culture where success is celebrated. We recognize that our work makes people's lives safer, and we reward those who contribute to our growth. Here's what you can expect:
* Competitive Pay:
Hourly rate based on experience with a performance-based bonus opportunity.
* Tuition Assistance:
Paid tuition for fire protection-related schooling needed to obtain licensing.
* Purpose-Driven Work Environment:
We believe in working smarter, not harder. You'll be part of a culture that values results, and we empower our team to focus on impactful work.
* Swag:
High-quality company swag and attire (t-shirts, hoodies, jackets) - at least twice a year.
* People-Focused Culture:
We know our greatest strength is our people. That's why we've built a culture that encourages experimentation, learning, and improving together. You'll have the space to…
