Mechanical General Laborer

Since 1996, RQC, LLC. has been a leading player in Southern California's robust commercial and governmental Design-Build economy. We now have a national presence with current projects spanning coast to coast. We are a full-service Design-Build company that specializes in fast-track projects in new commercial construction for both public and private clients, with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market.

Responsibilities: Perform tasks that involve physical labor at a construction site using hand and power tools of all types. Assist other craft workers in their duties, clean and prepare sites, remove rubble and debris, and handle non-hazardous waste materials. Operate one or several types of power construction equipment as required. Implement safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Receive on-the-job training and certifications for safety, equipment operations, and other project needs. Prevailing wages will be paid for work performed on a military installation.

Pay Range: $18.00–$25.00 per hour

• High school diploma or GED (preferred minimum formal education).
• One or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience in commercial construction; government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred.
• Forklift certification and logistics/warehouse/residential experience a plus.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred. Specific training or certificates in the following are also preferred:
  • Forklift/Manlift training and certificate
  • Fall protection training
  • Scissor lift/boom lift certificate
  • OSHA 10‑hour
