Position is contingent upon contract award. No staffing or placement companies will be used to fill this position.

The vehicle mechanic must maintain services for gasoline or diesel engines and related systems, including electrical, hydraulic, air systems, heating & air conditioning (HVAC), powertrain, steering, suspension, and braking. Must have experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of electronic control systems such as powertrain control modules, anti-lock brakes (both air and hydraulic). Experience with heavy construction equipment, forklifts, and mobile cranes is highly desirable.

Associated Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications are highly recommended.

• Personnel must possess or be able to obtain a favorable security clearance before the start of work.
• A civilian driver's license is required.
• A minimum of three years' experience in vehicle mechanic services in either gasoline or diesel engines and related vehicle systems such as electrical, hydraulic, air systems, heating & air conditioning (HVAC), including powertrain, steering, suspension, and braking.
• Account for all parts by entering data into DPAS.
• Ability to manually lift equipment and components weighing 20 to 60 pounds. Occasionally, will manually lift items weighing 75 pounds and, with the assistance of other workers or with lifting devices, over 100 pounds.

• Experience with heavy construction equipment, forklifts, and mobile cranes is highly desirable.
• Associated Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications highly recommended.
