Sheet Metal Installer - Hurlburt Field

RQ, LLC is a national design‑build contractor that has been a key contributor to commercial and government construction since 1996. The firm works on fast‑track projects across the United States, with a particular focus on Department of Defense work.

Position:
Sheet Metal Installer (ongoing projects at Hurlburt Field Air Force Base, Okaloosa County, FL, and surrounding area). All work is performed on a military installation and is compensated in accordance with the required Davis‑Bacon prevailing wage specific to the base. Per diem may be eligible for qualified candidates not local to the Pensacola region.

• Fabricate and install ductwork, air distribution systems, and HVAC equipment on active construction sites.
• Ensure all work complies with applicable codes and standards.
• Apply mechanical principles and use proper tools and equipment.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

• High school diploma or G.E.D. (minimum).
• 4 or more years (or equivalent) field or trade experience as a journeyman‑level sheet metal worker in a commercial or facilities operations environment.
• Government, military, or large commercial/industrial construction experience preferred.

All candidates considered for hire must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire. All candidates must successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to the job site at the military base (if applicable for the position being hired for). This is part of the hiring requirements.

• Pay Range: $25.00 - $49.00 per hour DOE.
