Electronics Technician
The Electronics Technician located in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying production electronic and mechanical products, parts, equipment, and systems. Located in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, this role involves applying principles of electronics, electrical circuitry, and testing to ensure product quality and functionality.
Job Responsibilities- Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings; utilize manufacturing and engineering instructions for testing assembled units.
- Create non-conformance reports, including testing details, failure descriptions, and root cause investigations.
- Interpret work orders, drawings, schematics, test procedures, failure reports, manuals, and specifications.
- Calibrate or adjust units through component selection, potentiometer adjustments, and other means; perform necessary mathematical calculations for electrical parameters.
- Conduct automated and manual testing using various equipment such as vibe testers, thermal chambers, oscilloscopes, etc.
- Test units across different programs, including complex units, with limited supervision.
- Support safety practices per OSHA and company policies.
- Contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives such as 5S, KPI's, and Problem Solving.
- Maintain system logs and manuals documenting testing and equipment operations.
- Support other tasks assigned by supervisors, including cross-training and troubleshooting production failures.
- Experience:
2-4 years in electronic or mechanical troubleshooting, repair, or testing; or equivalent educational background. - Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of troubleshooting methods, circuitry, mechanical characteristics, and familiarity with manufacturing or repair environments. - Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. - Abilities:
Capability to learn new software and test equipment, perform precise movements, and work within multiple software systems. - Education/Certification:
AA degree in Electronic or Mechanical Technology. - Eligibility Requirement:
Due to potential access to Controlled Data, US Persons will be prioritized; compliance with ITAR regulations is required.
- Pay Rate: $27-37 per hour (depending on experience)
- Schedule:
First Shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM - After meeting the qualification requirements, employees are offered through Landrum:
