Basic Qualifications

Job Description

At Lockheed Martin, we develop cutting‑edge training systems and solutions for the U.S. Air Force. This Software Engineer role supports the sustainment and development of training systems for C-130J, CV-22, other high‑fidelity Aircrew Training Devices (ATDs), and the Mission Rehearsal Operation Center (MROC).

This position is located at customer facilities at Hurlburt Field, Florida, and may require occasional travel, including both CONUS and OCONUS destinations. The role requires obtaining an Interim Secret level U.S. government security clearance before starting and U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

Responsibilities
  • Work within an integrated product team of Hardware, Software, Systems, and Test Engineers to maintain and update Air Force Flight Simulators and the MROC.
  • Provide development, integration, and sustainment support for the Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) Live‑Virtual‑Constructive (LVC) mission rehearsal systems.
  • Support LVC Mission Rehearsals: deploy and configure live, virtual, and constructive environments for scheduled rehearsals, monitor system health, troubleshoot runtime issues, and provide rapid resolution during exercises.
  • Develop software solutions for flight simulators and the MROC.
  • Integrate new technologies into various systems.
  • Support requirements analysis, design, development, integration, and test of real‑time software.
Work Environment

Onsite Full‑time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
