Dispatcher, Transportation

This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality transportation services while maintaining compliance with company and client procedures. This position is contingent on the award of contract.

Location:

Okaloosa County, FL. Starting Rate: $17.70.

• Answer calls and assist with ride dispatching
• Organize and assign trips based on schedules, locations, and operational efficiency
• Provide drivers with directions and real‑time support
• Troubleshoot and resolve scheduling or routing issues
• Maintain consistent communication with drivers and transportation providers
• Monitor service via radio and telephone to ensure quality performance
• Record trip details including departure times, destinations, and expected returns
• Report and document incidents, delays, no‑shows, or service issues
• Notify providers of next‑day schedules and any new trips
• Provide feedback on driver performance

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and timeliness
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
• Experience using scheduling software and two‑way radio communication
• Basic data analysis skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Dependable attendance and reliability

• High school diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of dispatching, routing, or scheduling experience preferred
• Experience with transit scheduling systems preferred
• Knowledge of GPS/GIS systems preferred
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
