Material Handler

Job Summary

Crane Aerospace and Electronics is seeking a Material Handler to support receiving, inventorying, and shipping functions in Fort Walton Beach, FL. The role involves verifying shipment contents, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with carriers and internal teams to meet customer deadlines.

• Prepare and review documentation such as bills of lading, packing lists, and manifests.
• Verify incoming shipments against records, noting weight, charges, damages, and discrepancies.
• Receive, count, and inventory items, and store them in appropriate locations.
• Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for transport.
• Coordinate with carrier representatives to arrange transportation.
• Organize distribution and shipping, ensuring correct verification against documents.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to safety equipment requirements.
• Perform any other supervisory or operational tasks as assigned.

• Experience: 2+ years in shipping, receiving, or material handling.
• Knowledge: Shipping and receiving processes, 5S principles, safe lifting/moving of packages up to 50 lbs.
• Detail-oriented, data-driven, and able to solve problems efficiently.
• Can multitask in a fast-paced environment and maintain positive relationships with internal customers.
• Accurate counting and identification of parts with documentation.
• Team player capable of following immediate supervision.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with government shipping regulations (ITN’s, WAWF).
• Experience with an ERP system, preferably Oracle.
• 1‑3 years working in a regulated environment.

• Normal manufacturing environment with required PPE such as eye safety glasses, masks, and hearing protectors.
• Potential exposure to loud noise, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust, or fumes.
• Standing 50‑75%, sitting 25‑50%, lifting/pushing up to 35 lbs.
