Business Intelligence Developer
JOB SUMMARY:
The Business Intelligence Developer (BID) will design and develop business intelligence (BI) solutions to support quality, compliance, and operational processes. The BID professional is responsible for independently developing and aggregating analytical content sourced from an enterprise electronic medical record reporting database. The candidate will have strong technical skills and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
- Independently designs and delivers BI solutions.
- Translates operational and clinical requirements into technical specifications.
- Performs root‑cause analysis, validates data, and resolves issues for defined reporting areas.
- Uses advanced SQL, visualisation best practices, and knowledge of EHR data (e.g., Caboodle/Clarity) to build reliable datasets.
- Supports junior team members by sharing knowledge, patterns, or best practices.
- Organisational impact: works to achieve operational objectives within job area with direct impact on job area results; sets objectives for own job area to meet the objectives or goals of projects and assignments; may contribute to technical results on larger, moderately complex projects, products, or systems.
- Innovation & complexity: responsible for making adjustments or recommended enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of the job area; implements and executes on technical initiatives and solutions.
- Communication & influence: communicates with contacts typically within job area on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring some explanation or interpretation to reach agreement; may work to influence parties within own job area at an operational level.
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (required). - Experience:
2 years related work experience (required).
