Job Overview

Leads the identification and implementation of optimal technical solutions for complex business challenges, ensuring seamless integration across systems. It involves developing and managing work plans for system upgrades and enhancements, overseeing configuration and maintenance across all environments, and analyzing workflows to improve processes and resolve operational issues. Responsibilities include authoring detailed specifications and documentation, designing and executing advanced test scenarios to validate system performance, and contributing to the development of technology standards and best practices.

The position also provides input on resource estimation, ensures timely delivery of all tasks, and proactively addresses risks and variances to maintain project integrity.

Essential Functions
  • Leads efforts to identify optimal technical solutions for complex business issues and ensures integration across systems.
  • Develops and manages business work plans for analysis and testing of system upgrades, modifications, and enhancements.
  • Oversees configuration, implementation, and maintenance of technical requirements across all environments.
  • Analyzes and improves work processes, evaluates feasibility for medium to large projects, and resolves operational challenges.
  • Authors detailed specifications and documentation, ensuring clarity and compliance with standards.
  • Designs and executes advanced test scenarios, validating system integrity and performance.
  • Contributes to defining technology standards and best practices.
  • Provides input on resource estimation for projects and initiatives.
  • Ensures timely completion of deliverables, proactively addressing risks and variances.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Works to achieve operational targets with significant impact on job area results.
  • Responsible for making small to moderate improvements of technical processes, systems or products to enhance performance of the job area.
  • Communicates with parties within and outside of own job area, influencing procedures and policies.
Education
- Required
  • High School Diploma/GED
Education
- Preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science or Healthcare
  • Master’s Degree Computer Science or Healthcare
Experience
- Required
  • 4 years Direct Epic build, implementation and support experience.
  • 7 years Progressive experience in Information Services or combination of Information Services and direct Health Care experience.
  • Experience with medium to large-scale implementation/upgrades.
  • Comprehensive test plans development.
Experience
- Preferred
  • 7 years Direct Epic build on current software version.
  • 10 years Progressive experience in Information Services or combination of Information Services and direct Health Care experience.
  • Project resource and budget management.
Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

- Required
  • Large Hospital/IDN Information Technology Experience and/or Healthcare Operations Experience.
  • EPIC Application Certification and one additional Primary or Secondary EPIC Certification.
  • Large Project Management.
  • Implementation/Upgrade Facilitation.
  • Integrated Systems Architecture Planning, Development and Implementation.
  • Technical Collaboration (Interfaces, Hardware and Reporting).
  • Team Leadership.
  • Coaching and Mentoring.
  • Triaging On-call/DR/BC.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
