JOB DESCRIPTION:
Assesses complex data systems and programs in support of ad-hoc and standing management or customer requests. Creates programs, methodologies, and files for analyzing and presenting data. Examines data quality, applications, and functions. Produces output and sustains operation. Researches new data sources and analytical tools. Contributes to new product development and improvement in product delivery and presentation. Develops awareness of and familiarity with issues and events affecting organization, department, and/or customer.
Uses and supports database applications and analytical tools. Uses timely and appropriate participation of users/customers in data collection and query systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Data Analyst transforms raw data into actionable insights. They collect, clean, and analyze data to identify trends and patterns. They create visualizations and reports, communicating findings to stakeholders. They use statistical methods and tools to answer business questions and support decision-making. They collaborate with teams to understand data needs and develop solutions. Their work helps organizations optimize processes, improve efficiency, and drive strategic growth.
DUTIES:
Gather data from various sources (databases, spreadsheets, APIs).Clean and preprocess data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Identify and correct data errors and inconsistencies.
Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
Use statistical methods and tools to analyze data.
Interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions.
Create visualizations (charts, graphs, dashboards) to present data effectively.
Develop reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
Summarize and present data in a clear and concise manner.
Develop and maintain data models.
Design and manage databases.
Ensure data integrity and security.
Develop and maintain business intelligence dashboards and reports.
Provide insights to support business decision-making.
Identify opportunities for process improvement.
Monitor data quality and ensure accuracy.
Develop and implement data quality control procedures.
Identify and address data quality issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs.
Communicate data insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
Provide technical support and guidance on data-related matters.
Work with business users to determine their data and reporting needs.
Document requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

CLEARANCE REQUIRED:
Applicants must have at least an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain a clearance at the TS/SCI level. Preference will be given to those who have an active TS/SCI clearance. Applicants must be able to submit documentation establishing U.S. Person status upon hiring. All ISA employees are required to uphold and maintain trustworthiness and suitability requirements of the U.S. federal government.
