OutcomesThe successful candidate is expected to accomplish the following outcomes during the first year in the position:
- Formally track all tasks, to include assigned by, suspense, status, and comments on all assigned tasks through completion and be prepared to brief upon request.
- Develop digital continuity folders and files that include standard operating procedures, workflows and POC lists to accomplish all tasks.
- Create 2-3 products beyond the client’s requirements that positively impact the client to either increase efficiency, effectiveness, or innovation.
- Establish foundation in AI/ML skills and contribute to AI/ML operationalization and modernization goals and objectives.
- Master position tasks within 60 days and exceed requirements within 90 days.
- Use government provided Generative AI tools on a day-to-day basis to accelerate tasks, research, documentation, analysis, planning, reporting, and problem solving.
- Make recommendations on process improvements and practices that improve quality, speed and/or efficiency.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support the team's effort to develop business process re-engineering recommendations based on current acquisitions processes and information flows to and from the intelligence community.
- Meeting with the management team to assess and define the system requirements.
- Analyzing network data and infrastructure to determine inefficiencies and problems.
- Developing and designing network architecture and computer systems infrastructure.
- Overseeing the development, installation, configuration, and administration of computer systems.
- Managing project timelines, budgets, and documentation.
- Monitoring computer systems and networks for viruses, malfunctions, and errors.
- Troubleshooting technical issues and developing effective solutions.
- Preparing network analytics, data reports, and operational manuals.
- Use government provided Generative AI tools on a day-to-day basis to accelerate tasks, research, documentation, analysis, planning, reporting, and problem solving. Make recommendations on process improvements and practices that improve quality, speed and/or efficiency.
- Training the engineering team on new systems, protocols, and best practices.
The candidate must have the following qualifications:
- Minimum of five (5) years work-related experience.
- Of those 5 years, at least four (4) years of work-related experience supporting a component of the Department of War (DoW)-aligned environment.
- Experience as a Systems Engineer.
- Security+ or DAWIA equivalent certification.
- Graduate of an ABET-accredited systems engineering program.
- Joint Staff experience.
The following qualifications are desired:
- Knowledgeable and skilled in applying Generative AI.
- Experience in IT systems integration.
- Experience in Database integration techniques.
- Experience in Data visualization.
- Systems engineering tools (Sparx EA, Cameo, Core, etc).
- Enterprise architecture development.
- Knowledge of JCIDS, PPBE, and DAS.
- Process mapping, e.g., BPMN or other.
- Modeling and simulation.
Vicinity travel within the NCR.
