Fort Washington Medical Center, part of Adventist Health Care, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the ICU department.
Primary Responsibilities- Perform various service duties and routine technical tasks such as vital signs and activities of daily living under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Adapt duties to the specific needs and behaviors of patient populations within the ICU.
- Participate in department and organizational education programs, meetings, committees, and professional initiatives.
- Commit to personal and professional development to adapt effectively to ongoing change.
- Present a positive and professional image to represent nursing and the organization.
- Follow the care plan as established and delegated by the Registered Nurse.
- Receive reports from the Registered Nurse and ensure implementation of care plans.
- Support a culture of safety by identifying necessary resources for safe patient care and appropriately utilizing them.
- Identify and report malfunctioning or expired equipment and supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of work areas and equipment.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Successful completion of a CNA or first‑year Nursing School Program and passing of the CNA exam.
- Maryland CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) License and registration with the State of Maryland.
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Basic arithmetic skills, strong computer skills, and proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and turn as required by the job.
- Preferred:
Experience in an acute care clinical setting.
- Employment type:
Full‑time. - Hours per week: 36.
- Typical daily schedule:
Day shift, every other weekend required. - Shift differential:
Eligible. - Holiday schedule:
Rotating holidays required.
$19.21 – $24.90 per hour.
