About This Role

Adventist Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for their Med Surg Unit. This part‑time position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing compassionate care and mentoring others in a healthcare setting.

• Pay: $37.00 - $55.00
• Location: Fort Washington, MD
• Facility: Fort Washington Medical Center
• Schedule: Part‑time, 24 hours per week, every other weekend required, rotating holidays

• Educate patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards of practice.
• Use equipment and technology correctly and delegate non‑nursing duties appropriately.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Identify impending changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient‑centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
• Conduct efficient literature searches and apply findings to practice.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in change of practice based on evidence.

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

  • Current Maryland State nursing license
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area
