This is a review focused Tax Supervisor / Tax Manager role in an independent Fort Wayne CPA firm where you will oversee work, support junior staff, build client relationships and still stay close to the technical side.
The role itself is broad, working across closely held businesses, construction, manufacturing, partnerships, S Corps and personal returns, supporting owner managed and multi generational businesses across a range of sizes.
It is a local firm with around 50 people, but one that continues to grow and invest in its people.
Mentorship is a genuine part of the culture at every level here. Partners are involved, people know each other and if you do good work, it gets recognised.
Role Responsibilities• Review and prepare tax returns for a diverse client base, providing technical expertise and ensuring quality.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and feedback on their work.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, serving as a go‑to resource for tax matters.
• Balance review work with opportunities to further develop your own technical skills.
• 5+ years of public accounting tax experience with solid review exposure.
• Comfortable reviewing returns, supporting junior staff, and serving as a team resource.
• Ability to commit 70%+ time to review work, but candidates with a current 30%+ focus are welcome if they seek more review responsibility.
• CPA or EA preferred, or someone on the path toward one.
