Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team at DSWD in our Fort Wayne location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, tax, and financial reporting, with experience serving a diverse client base. This role involves managing client engagements and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information.

• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other applicable standards.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes for clients.
• Prepare and review complex corporate, partnership returns.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
• Assist with reviews, compilations and bookkeeping for clients.
• Supervise staff accountants as necessary.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide exceptional service.
• Stay current on accounting standards, tax laws, and industry trends.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (master’s preferred).
• CPA certification is preferred.
• 3+ years of public accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Ultra Tax, or similar).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Experience with cloud-based accounting platforms.
• Industry specialization (e.g., real estate, healthcare, construction) is a plus.
• Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
