Accounts Payable Specialist

Pro Resources is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a client in Fort Wayne, IN. The Accounts Payable Specialist will help with the organization and running of the daily Accounts Payable operations. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.

Monday-Friday 7-4 PM

Compensation is from 40,000 USD to 50,000 USD per year

• Provide Management with Vendor Analysis reports.
• Prepare and distribute annual 1099's.
• Code invoices with GL account numbers.
• Review all W9 forms for accuracy and validity.
• Complete vendor credit applications.
• Prepare weekly check runs for multiple companies and process.
• Work with vendors to move away from paper checks to EFT or virtual credit card payments.

• B.S. in Accounting preferred;
  Associate's degree with at least 5 years of experience acceptable.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting and management principles.
• Extensive knowledge of accounts payable procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers, especially Excel and accounting software.
• Strong planning and problem solving skills.
• Ability to analyze information and processes.
