Job summary:

A Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of our reports and statements. This position will be reporting to the accounting manager. Staff Accountants work in the internal accounting department of a company to carry out consistent company procedures. Their role is to prepare and review financial information and organize it in a way that provides a clear picture of the company’s fiscal health.

Staff Accountants can handle billing processes including accounts receivable and accounts payable. When processing financial documents, Staff Accountants may also look for ways to improve efficiency and recognize unnecessary expenses. They regularly update company records with details about income and itemized expenses to reflect the most accurate information and meet financial regulations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Review and ensure the accuracy and legal compliance of financial statements.
  • Prepare, file, and organize tax returns and related documentation.
  • Enter and update accounting information in business logs and financial records.
  • Inspect and reconcile account books and general ledger accounts for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Process journal entries and perform monthly bank settlements.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to identify trends and variances.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support financial planning.
  • Recommend cost‑saving measures and strategies to enhance revenue.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Your Experience And Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, CPA required
  • 2–4 years of accounting experience
  • Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast‑paced setting.
  • Experience with Quick Books a must, and experience in getting off Quick Books even better!
  • Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word, and must be able to work with pivot tables, VLookups, and complex models. SQL experience a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi‑task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
