Cost Accountant

COST ACCOUNTANT – MANUFACTURING

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join its accounting team. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working closely with operations and analyzing costs, inventory, and financial performance.

What You’ll Do:

• Analyze and maintain product and manufacturing costs
• Support month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Analyze inventory, variances, and cost of goods sold
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Partner with operations to identify cost trends and opportunities for improvement
• Maintain accurate costing and accounting records
• Support audits and other accounting projects as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory, and general accounting principles
• Experience with standard costing, variance analysis, and month-end close preferred
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and communicate findings effectively
