The Family Support Program Manager (FSPM) has overall responsibility for the management and coordination of the Family Support program, to ensure timely and high-quality completion of activities and deliverables. The FSPM reports to the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and works with Family Support Program staff including therapists, interpreters, and caseworkers to help them execute program strategies and mission work.

The FSPM will cultivate open and collaborative relationships with the direct service providers and the Amani program management team. The FSPM will also have principal responsibility for representing Amani Family Support Service Area activities and works closely with the Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS), Allen County Juvenile Court (ACJC), Iris (formerly SCAN - Stop Child Abuse and Neglect), and other grant funders who support the program.

The FSPM plays the lead role in growing the family support services, ensuring that program activities comply with agreement requirements, appropriate industry guidelines, and agency standards. The FSPM will be highly organized and performs administrative duties which include billing, assessments, care coordination, conducting research, responding to calls/emails in a timely manner, creating training documents and ensuring completion of required training, monitoring referrals, and all other administrative tasks associated with the support of the Family Support Program.

The FSPM may also provide client services, in case of need and in accordance with their credentials. The FSPM is a member of the Management Team; FSPM will act on behalf of management by giving presentations and representing the agency.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
  • The FSPM plays the lead role in planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling the family support program activities within Amani. The FSPM assists the COO with providing vision and leadership in the development, marketing, implementation, evaluation, and assessment of the family support program designed to address and prevent child abuse and neglect in immigrant and refugee families.
  • The FSPM ensures that each family is provided prompt and supportive assistance and collaborates with the COO and staff to ensure effective service delivery.
  • The FSPM evaluates the efficiency of family support services and makes necessary changes to maximize staff success and productivity; assesses the needs of the program and contributes to the big picture by ensuring daily program operations run smoothly.
  • The FSPM collaborates with the COO to assist in developing evidence-based, trauma-responsive, and competent services for families.
  • The FSPM serves as the administrative supervisor to the program staff, approves timecards, PTO requests, and conducts performance reviews.
  • The FSPM serves as a member of Amani’s management team. Collaborates for the overall success of agency operations, including safety and security of clients and staff, back-up support, and staff development and training.
  • The FSPM provides the Family Support Programs with support (e.g. filing, emailing, and data entry).
  • The FSPM maintains program inventory, including supervision files, program procedures manual, clinical forms, current caseloads, interpretation, billing, audit files, and monthly reports files.
  • The FSPM ensures complete submission of documents to vendors, staff, and other interested parties.
  • The FSPM organizes community resources information benefit ting clients.
  • The FSPM maintains communication with the appropriate staff: database training, appointment scheduling, paperwork, and correspondence.
  • May perform direct client work based on credentials.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services-related field (or university-level education equivalent from other countries) required.
  • Supervisory experience (at least one year), required.
  • Minimum 1 year of clerical/office experience.
  • Professional technology skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and database software;
    Ability to scan, edit and create PDF files and experience with shared folders;
    Excellent typing skills – all required.
