Assistant Office Manager — Home Energy Pros

About Us

Home Energy Pros is a fast-growing home energy services company delivering radiant barrier insulation, solar attic fans, water filtration, and air purification solutions to homeowners across Indiana, Maryland, and Virginia — with a new market launching in Columbus, OH. As we scale, we're building out the operational backbone to support that growth, and this role is a key part of that.

The Role

We're looking for an Assistant Office Manager to support our Office Manager across day-to-day administrative operations, HR/hiring coordination, and bookkeeping support. This is a great fit for someone highly organized who enjoys variety, can juggle multiple work streams, and wants to grow into greater ownership as the company expands.

What You'll Do
  • Support daily office administration — scheduling, correspondence, supplies, vendor coordination, general office upkeep
  • Assist with hiring coordination: posting roles, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, onboarding new hires, and maintaining personnel files
  • Support bookkeeping tasks — invoice tracking, expense entry, reconciliations, and basic financial recordkeeping
  • Help maintain and organize company records, HR documentation, and compliance paperwork
  • Assist with benefits administration (health, vision, dental, IRA, PTO tracking)
  • Provide backup support to the Office Manager on special projects as they arise
  • Help keep company systems and processes organized as the team scales across markets
What We're Looking For
  • 1–3+ years of experience in an administrative, office management, HR support, or bookkeeping role
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working across multiple types of tasks (admin, HR, finance) in the same day
  • Proficiency with common office software (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office); experience with CRM or accounting software a plus
  • Discretion with sensitive information (HR files, payroll, financials)
  • A proactive, "get it done" attitude — willing to jump in wherever needed
  • Prior experience in a small business or fast-growing company environment preferred
Compensation & Benefits
  • $45,000–$55,000 base salary (based on experience)
