We're looking for a dependable, energetic, and detail-oriented
Vehicle Prep Porter / PDI Technician to join our fast-paced dealership team. If you enjoy working around vehicles, take pride in delivering quality work, and thrive in a busy environment, we'd love to meet you.

As a Vehicle Prep Porter / PDI Technician, you'll play an important role in ensuring every vehicle is clean, inspected, fueled, and ready for display, customer delivery, or service. Working closely with our Sales, Service, and Reconditioning teams, you'll help maintain an efficient workflow while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

This position offers a clear career path, beginning with foundational vehicle preparation responsibilities and progressing into Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) and new vehicle inventory responsibilities.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a rotating schedule:

  • Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM and 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Every other Saturday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
    • A weekday off will be provided during weeks when a Saturday is worked.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Prepare new and pre-owned vehicles for customer delivery and dealership display.
  • Wash, clean, fuel, and detail vehicles to dealership standards.
  • Install buyer's guides, stock tags, license plate brackets, stickers, and required addendums.
  • Apply windshield protection products according to dealership standards.
  • Move vehicles safely throughout the dealership and service areas.
  • Transport vehicles for sublet services when needed.
  • Assist with maintaining dealership lots, grounds, and vehicle organization.
  • Take inventory photos and prepare vehicles for online merchandising.
  • Maintain dealership cleanliness, including trash removal and tire disposal.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

As experience and proficiency increase, team members may advance into a Vehicle Prep Porter II role with expanded responsibilities supporting new vehicle inventory and Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) operations.
Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) preparation on new Honda inventory.
  • Install factory and dealer accessories according to Honda iN standards.
  • Complete new vehicle check-in paperwork accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform damage inspections during transport unloads.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Service, and Parts to prepare incoming inventory.
Qualifications

We're looking for someone who is dependable, self-motivated, and enjoys working in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles (preferred).
  • Strong work ethic and excellent attendance.
  • Positive attitude with a customer-first mindset.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand, bend, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
  • Basic computer and technology skills.
  • Previous dealership, porter, detailing, automotive, or parts experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
