R.W Mercer Co. is a family-owned construction and Service Company headquartered in Jackson, Michigan, with seven locations – six in Michigan and one in Indiana. The company operates in three distinct areas of construction: petroleum contracting, service/compliance, and general contracting. In each area, R.W. Mercer provides a turn‑key approach that includes planning, design, construction, and installation as well as service, monitoring, and maintenance.
POSITION:Compliance Coordinator
LOCATION:Fort Wayne, Indiana
REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES:- Compliance Tracking: Monitor and track Compliance work orders, State/Local Inspection correspondence, and ABC Operator compliance and inspections.
- Operational Logistics: Create work orders for upcoming inspections or repairs, schedule compliance inspections, and coordinate and issue purchase orders for subcontractors and equipment rentals.
- Dispatch Administration: Support the Compliance Division with dispatching by answering incoming calls and emails and strategically assigning tasks on the dispatch board.
- Auditing & Communication: Review and audit the status of open work orders, communicating regular updates directly to the Compliance Manager.
- Records Maintenance: Maintain and update compliance work orders within our accounting system and external compliance tracking system, handle compliance-related invoicing, and manage various other administrative tasks.
- Certification & Asset Tracking: Manage and track Compliance Technician Certifications, specialized equipment certifications, and technician tool/parts inventory.
- Research & Support: Conduct general compliance-related research for jurisdictions and coordinate construction/service remediation work resulting from compliance failures.
- Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact by answering incoming calls and emails in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.

Collaboration:
Assist warehouse personnel with shipping/receiving, physical inventory counts, over‑the‑counter parts sales, and other general inventory functions as needed. - Service
Collaboration:
Assist the service department as needed with service calls, work order entry, invoicing, and other administrative functions to provide adequate coverage for the branch. - Team Player: Provide cross‑functional support to other internal departments as needed.

- Must be 18 years old or older
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalency
- 2+ years of professional administrative experience
