Position

Data Center Security Installation Project Manager (Deputy Project Leader) – Security and Electronic Systems (SES) Business Unit. The role is part of the SES Strategic Business Unit and focuses on designing, engineering, integrating, operating, and maintaining electronic security services including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audiovisual, IT systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers.

The position is located in Fort Wayne, Indiana and requires onsite work every day.

Responsibilities
  • Overall financial management of the project(s).
  • Ensure on‑time project completion.
  • Coordinate and run a project kick‑off meeting (PKOM).
  • Forecast cash flow and manpower needs for projects.
  • Order materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Prepare price proposals and change orders.
  • Prepare monthly reports analyzing the budget, schedule, cash flow, and manpower.
  • Identify opportunities for cost‑saving measures, quality improvement and incorporate best practices.
  • Ensure all safety regulations are adhered to.
  • Coordinate with the general contractor and other trades.
Education

BS in Engineering (Preferred EE or industry‑related degree) with 5+ years of experience.

Experience
  • Related construction experience with five years working for an electrical or construction contractor.
  • Experience on construction projects ranging from $500,000 to $10 million.
  • Experience with contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addendums, specifications, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
  • Experience with CPM scheduling.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, and drawings on projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and writing skills and a problem‑owner/solver attitude.
  • Proven ability to effectively plan and organize one's own activities or the activities of others.
  • Proficiency with computers including MS Office, Blue Beam, and PDF.
Preferred Skill Set
  • Accubid estimating (or equivalent) directly related to electrical installations.
  • Primavera P6 CPM scheduling experience and proficiency (or equivalent).
  • Ability and willingness to travel to project locations as needed.

  • Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.

  • Have finger dexterity to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms.
