We are seeking a proactive, self-directed Safety Specialist. The ideal candidate will be a CHST Certified professional with a sharp eye for detail, a deep understanding of OSHA regulations, and the interpersonal skills necessary to foster a culture of safety on-site. You will be responsible for managing compliance and resolving incidents with a calm, professional demeanor.
Key ResponsibilitiesRegulatory Compliance: Navigate and interpret complex OSHA regulations to ensure all site activities remain in full legal compliance.
Safety Planning: Lead the development and implementation of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and comprehensive Site Safety Plans
.
Incident Management: Act as the primary point of contact for on-site incidents; manage reporting, investigation, and resolution while maintaining professional standards.
Conflict Resolution: Use strong interpersonal skills to handle on-site safety disputes and enforce compliance among diverse teams and subcontractors.
Data & Documentation: Utilize high-level computer literacy to manage Excel spreadsheets and navigate various contractor compliance websites

Self-Directed Oversight: Manage daily safety operations with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and a commitment to workplace excellence.
Required Qualifications & CertificationsOSHA 510: Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry.
OSHA 30 (Construction): In-depth training on construction-specific hazards and prevention.
CHST Certification:
Candidates will hold an active Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification.
Alternate:
Candidates without a CHST who wish to sit for the exam must demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a dedicated safety role.
Professionalism: Maintains a composed and ethical presence as a representative of the company.
Tech-Savvy: Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel) and familiar with digital compliance platforms.
Communication: Exceptional "people skills" with the ability to explain complex safety requirements to both executive leadership and field laborers.
Critical Thinking: Ability to identify potential hazards before they become incidents and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
Physical Requirements & EnvironmentFrequent travel to various job sites.
Ability to navigate active construction environments.
Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
