Fiber Splicing Construction Manager
Indianapolis, IN / Fort Wayne, IN Area Company Vehicle Provided | Contract Opportunity | Immediate Need
Broadstaff is seeking a Fiber Splicing Construction Manager to support a major fiber network deployment project in Indiana. This individual will oversee fiber splicing operations, manage field teams and subcontractors, and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to customer quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a fiber construction leader with a strong technical splicing background who thrives in a fast-paced telecom construction environment.
Responsibilities- Manage fiber splicing crews, supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Oversee fiber splicing, terminations, testing, troubleshooting, and network activation.
- Schedule resources and monitor production across multiple projects.
- Review splice plans, route maps, engineering drawings, and project specifications.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and customer standards.
- Track project progress and provide reporting to leadership.
- Review OTDR traces, test results, and acceptance documentation.
- Resolve field issues and support project delivery from planning through closeout.
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and developing fiber personnel.
- 5+ years of fiber optic splicing experience.
- 3+ years of experience managing fiber splicing operations, construction projects, or telecom field teams.
- Experience leading large-scale fiber deployment projects.
- Strong understanding of aerial and underground fiber construction.
- Advanced knowledge of OTDR testing, fiber certification, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read splice diagrams, fiber route maps, and construction drawings.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license required.
