Conference and Media Services Summer Non-Clinical Intern

This internship offers an immersive experience with the Conference and Media Services Team at the Mirro Center, supporting audio-visual and technology operations across its Conference Rooms and Grand Hall. Interns will work with cutting-edge equipment including VizRT Tri Caster, Panasonic PTZ cameras, Yamaha digital audio mixers, DMX-controlled lighting systems, and a wide array of microphones and speakers. Responsibilities include assisting with live event production, maintaining conference room technology, and supporting Microsoft Teams Rooms and Parkview Health#s AV systems.

Projects will focus on hands-on event support and technical upkeep, providing valuable exposure to real-world media operations. Ideal candidates should have a background in media or video production, strong communication skills, and a passion for learning in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. The internship schedule is flexible, ranging from 24 to 40 hours per week, with shifts adjusted based on event timing#whether early morning or late evening.

When events are not scheduled, interns will focus on equipment maintenance and hands-on learning opportunities. Preferred fields of study include broadcast, media production, audio engineering, and lighting design. Interns will gain a comprehensive understanding of event execution from planning through completion, with extensive hands-on training and mentorship. Must be a current undergraduate college student or graduate college student. A specific educational focus or degree may be preferred, depending on the hosting department of the internship.
