Federated Media is looking for dependable, energetic people to join our Fort Wayne team as Part-Time Promotions Assistants
. You’ll help bring some of Fort Wayne’s biggest radio stations into the community at concerts, client events, festivals, sporting events, live broadcasts, and other station promotions.

Our Fort Wayne stations include 97.3 WMEE, 98.9 The Bear, K105, WOWO 1190 AM/92.3 FM, and 1380 The Fan.

As a Promotions Assistant, you’ll work alongside our promotions team and on-air personalities to make sure station events and remote broadcasts are set up properly, run smoothly, and represent our stations professionally.

Responsibilities include:

• Driving station vehicles to and from remote broadcasts, appearances, and events
• Loading and unloading station vehicles with equipment and promotional materials
• Setting up and tearing down station equipment at remote broadcasts and events
• Setting up microphones, speakers, PA systems, banners, tables, promotional materials, and other equipment
• Testing equipment and connections before broadcasts begin
• Assisting on-air personalities during live broadcasts and appearances
• Helping with event execution, listener interaction, contests, and promotional activities
• Positioning station vehicles, banners, and displays for maximum visibility
• Troubleshooting basic equipment or setup issues
• Inventorying and organizing equipment before and after events
• Keeping station vehicles and equipment clean, fueled, and ready for the next event
• Representing Federated Media and our radio stations professionally with listeners, clients, and community partners

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Dependable and punctual - being early and ready is an important part of this job
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of an assignment
• Friendly and professional when interacting with listeners, clients, and station staff
• Willing to learn basic audio and broadcast equipment
• Able to solve problems and communicate quickly when something isn’t working
• Organized and responsible with company vehicles and equipment
• Comfortable working outdoors and in a variety of event environments
• Able to lift, carry, load, and set up typical event and audio equipment
• Available for a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, concerts, sporting events, and holidays
• Able to legally operate company vehicles and meet Federated Media’s requirements for authorized drivers

Previous radio or broadcast experience is not required
. We’ll train the right person. Experience with events, audio equipment, live production, promotions, hospitality, or customer service is a plus.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
