Role Overview
:
Customer Service Representatives serve as the frontline contact for the BMV. You’ll provide timely and accurate customer service, utilizing good communication and computer skills, along with on-the-job training, to assist millions of Hoosiers with their BMV needs.
Salary Statement
:
The salary for this position typically starts at $29,588.00.
A Day in the Life:The essential functions include:
- Conducting customer transactions using your knowledge
- Answering questions and providing guidance
- Assisting with daily opening and closing of the branch
- Checking transactions for accuracy, timeliness, and proper accounting
- Working with leadership to resolve escalated concerns and system issues
- Filing applications throughout the day

What You'll Need for Success:Requirements include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to process cash and card transactions
- Willingness to travel up to 20% for branch, training, or community activities
- Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations
This role may include supervisory duties depending on agency needs.
