Are you a licensed architect with a passion for healthcare design? Looking to lead impactful projects that improve patient experiences and shape the future of care environments?

A well-established, multi-disciplinary architecture and engineering firm is seeking a Project Architect / Project Manager to join its growing Healthcare team in Fort Wayne.

The Opportunity

This role offers the chance to lead healthcare projects from concept through construction, collaborating with a broader, highly specialized design team while serving as a key point of contact for local clients and stakeholders. You'll play a critical role in delivering thoughtful, high-performing environments that support patients, providers, and communities.

What You'll Do
  • Lead projects across all phases: programming, design, documentation, and construction administration
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and interior designers to deliver integrated design solutions
  • Partner with clients and user groups to define scope and develop concepts
  • Present design ideas and coordinate documentation across disciplines
  • Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and healthcare requirements
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
  • Oversee construction phase activities, site visits, and coordination with contractors
  • Mentor team members and support overall project execution strategy
What You Bring
  • Registered Architect (or actively pursuing licensure)
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
  • 3+ years of professional experience (healthcare project experience strongly preferred)
  • Proficiency in Revit or BIM tools
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • A passion for designing functional, human-centered healthcare environments
  • Experience leading client relationships or project teams
  • Exposure to business development or proposal support
  • Involvement in professional organizations or continuing education
