Hours Available: 8:35 am - 4 pm

This is a position based on experience and qualifications. The role follows the school calendar, with summers and school holidays off.

• 3–5 years of experience teaching music at the middle school level
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage a wide range of learners
• A personal commitment to Jesus Christ and alignment with Emmanuel Christian School’s mission and values
• Willingness to affirm and live out the school’s Life Together Covenant within the school community
• Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and families
• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music, or a related field required
• Teaching license preferred but not required for part-time candidates
• Demonstrated knowledge of middle school music instruction (general music, choir, band, or a combination)
• Ongoing commitment to professional growth and excellence in teaching

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the classroom and school building during scheduled teaching hours
• Ability to lift and carry classroom or music-related materials up to 25 pounds
• Ability to hear and communicate effectively with students in a classroom setting
• Ability to supervise students and respond quickly in a school environment

• Model Christ-like attitudes and behaviors for students and families including faith, love, repentance, and high personal standards of spiritual growth.
• Create meaningful relationships with students and families with the goal of child development at the forefront.
• Deliver materials that align with course objectives and curriculum guides.
• Submit weekly lesson plans so parents and students have a clear understanding of regular expectations.
• Incorporate a variety of instructional methods to strive to engage all students and meet the academic, spiritual, and emotional needs of students.
• Provide regular formative and summative assessments and record graded assignments in a timely manner.
• Create and maintain a classroom culture and environment conducive to creative learning.
