JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Criminal Justice and Criminology Program Director and Division Director for Humanities and Social Sciences, adjunct faculty receive a one-semester appointment in teaching. Faculty members assess, plan, implement and evaluate instruction for students in online and classroom settings in coordination with established course and program objectives.

Major Responsibilities/

Activities:

* Develops, designs, and implements curriculum in classroom and online settings.

* Adheres to all applicable university academic and employment policies identified in the Employee and Faculty handbooks and academic catalogs

* Respects the moral and religious beliefs of the university and students; uses discretion when expressing personal beliefs and views

* Performs other duties as assigned by the Program Director

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education

* Master's Degree in Criminal Justice/Criminology preferred

* Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice/Criminology with significant criminal justice system experience considered

Experience

* Experience teaching in higher education preferred
