Job Summary
Under the direction of the Criminal Justice and Criminology Program Director and Assistant Dean of the Education, Human Services and Community Care Pathway, adjunct faculty receive a one-semester appointment in teaching. Faculty members assess, plan, implement and evaluate instruction for students in online and classroom settings in coordination with established course and program objectives.
Major Responsibilities- Develops, designs, and implements curriculum in classroom and online settings.
- Adheres to all applicable university academic and employment policies identified in the Employee and Faculty handbooks and academic catalogs.
- Respects the moral and religious beliefs of the university and students; uses discretion when expressing personal beliefs and views.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Program Director.
Education
- Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice/Criminology preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice/Criminology with significant criminal justice system experience considered.
Experience
- Experience teaching in higher education preferred.
