Job Description

This is for the  School Year. Pay for this position may be prorated based upon approved hire date.

Location:

Northwood Middle School, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

• Candidate must comply with IHSAA, MSAC rules/regulations and all FWCS policies including FWCS code of ethics.
• Prefer candidate with high school coaching experience.
• Candidate must be willing and able to work effectively with students from multicultural backgrounds.
• Candidate must demonstrate a commitment to developing positive working relations with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
• Candidate will be responsible to instruct and supervise all athletic practices and games.
• Candidate must maintain high expectations for students both academically and athletically.
• Candidate must work with other head coaches and assistants.
• Candidate must have or be willing to obtain SPB/Minibus certification before season.

• Prefer candidate who will be teaching at Northwood Middle School for the  school year.
• If applicant is a current FWCS teacher, the teacher must fulfill their daily contracted hours before coaching.
• If not an FWCS teacher, candidate must be available at 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday afternoons.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.

• Strength and Stamina:
  Capability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to fifty pounds or more.
• Outdoor Work:
  Tolerance of work outside in various weather conditions.
