Student Advocate - School Year
SUMMARY
The Student Advocate is responsible for the school's overall safety and security and plays a critical role in the school's culture and climate. Student Advocate personnel actively support students so they can be successful in the classroom and school community. The Student Advocate will prioritize creating a sense of well-being and physical security for students and a calm, structured, and positive learning environment.
IMPORTANT DETAILS
- Work Schedule: School year
- Work Hours: Middle and High School hours approximately 7:10 am‑3:10 pm;
Elementary School hours approximately 8:00 am‑4:00 pm. Additional work obligations may occur outside normal school hours; flexibility required. - Benefits Included: Health Insurance (with Vision and Dental), Indiana Public Retirement (INPRS), Paid Holidays, Paid Time Off, Long Term Disability, Basic Term Life Insurance, and Optional Supplemental Benefits.
- Reports to: Fort Wayne Community Schools District Security Supervisor
- Position involves: continuous movement, observation and assessment within assigned building and around school grounds.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior safety/security related experience in schools preferred.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
Salary: $22.88 to $28.50 per hour
Position Type: Referendum Funding through 01/2032
