Adjunct Faculty – Business Administration (as needed)
Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as‑needed basis with 8 or 16‑week contracts. They create a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals, delivering effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided.
Major Responsibilities- Facilitate student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
- Make optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.
- Supplement and alter, where appropriate, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials.
- Maintain accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.
- Engage with students proactively and regularly in meaningful ways that impact learning and provide a positive experience.
- Demonstrate evidence of developing and implementing teaching strategies focused on engaging online students.
- Interact with students and co‑workers professionally and cooperatively, complying with College policies, guidelines and expectations.
- Maintain a safe, quality online educational environment.
- Promote an inclusive environment reflecting the broad diversity of students and employees where everyone feels respected and valued.
- All duties conducted within FERPA, regulatory requirements and professional standards.
- In‑field national, regional, or state professional certification (excluding teaching license)
- Three years in‑field professional employment in industry (teaching not counted)
- Relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree (15 semester/22 quarter credits or equivalent) and CEUs/vendor/military training
- Research and publication in the field
- Professional certification (national, regional, state) in a business‑related field (excluding teaching license)
- Evidence of teaching excellence, including date of award
- Three years of in‑field professional employment
- Research and publication.
- Additional coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree (18 semester hours or equivalent) and CEUs/vendor/military training
- Transcripts required at the time of hire.
- Offers of employment contingent upon satisfactory background check.
